Legendz: Tale of the Wind maiden
Ch.4
Present

After being introduced to Nick’s Legendz partners, Rezin, feeling a bit overwhelm; needed a break from the others. Despite his protests Shiron companied him.

The fresh air helped clear his mind for awhile, but the chance that Shiron might find out his secret weighed heavily on his shoulders.

Rezin gazed down at the waves that swiftly blurred beneath them as flew over the beach, heading back to Nick’s place.
At first he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him when he saw a dark shape following them, right under them beneath the water. It wasn’t until it became sharper that Rezin cried out in surprise. “LOOK OUT!” By the time Shiron realized the danger, he was knock out of the sky by a long thick tentacle hitting him right in the jaw, stunning him.

Rezin clung tightly to Shiron’s neck as the both fell in to the sea with a huge splash.
The impact caused Rezin to lose his grip of Shiron. Opening his eyes under water Rezin saw Shiron’s unconscious form floating a couple feet away.
Just as he was about to swim over to him, something had grabbed a hold of his leg. Looking down Rezin saw a giant squid with red sun glasses and green beard wrapping it’s tentacles around him, dragging him down deeper in to the cold depths of the ocean.

The deeper they went, the harder in became for Rezin to hold his breath. He just had to hold on. Shiron would save him, right? He had said he was there to protect him, so what was taking him so long?

Rezin’s lungs were screaming for air; he couldn’t hold it any longer and released it.
Water filled his lungs and his vision became blurry. I’m going to drown. He thought as all his strength left him, leaving him helpless. Shiron, I – Was the last thing that went through his mind just as he blacked out.

Shiron had came to his senses just before Kraken disappear in to the darkness of the sea. In the water legendz grasp was his saga limp form.
B@$trd! How dare that spineless worm take his saga from him!
Shiron dove after him, his rage fueling his speed. Reaching out he grabbed a hold of the tentacle coiled around Rezin.
Kraken turned around with a look of fright, he thought he had knocked the wind dragon out; trying his best to escape he lashed out trying to throw the angry dragon off him.

Shiron bared his sharp fang in rage, and then socked the squid right in the kisser hard. The blow had cause the limb that held Rezin tear from the main body, pulling the remains of the tentacle from Rezin; Shiron then quickly made his way to the surface with Rezin held close to his chest.

Hang on Rezin, Don’t die! Breaking through the surface, Shiron quickly swam over to shore.
Gently laying cradling Rezin limp form in his gloved claws, he tried to revive him.
“Hey! Come on! Breathe! Kaze no saga! Damn it! Rezin, don’t you dare die on me!”
He shook him and shouted as loud as he could, but Rezin didn’t even twitch.
No… Shiron felt cold sense of despair fill his heart. He began trembling has he held Rezin lifeless body in his claws. Please no… He gently wrapped his gloved claws around his saga, hugging Rezin close to him. The tip of his muzzle, pressing gently against Rezin forehead.
Please No! He pleaded silently. Tears welling up in his eyes. Don’t let it end like this! Please! Please wake up…

Then as if answering his plea, Rezin gave a soft grunt.
Shiron eyes snapped open as Rezin began to cough up the sea water from lungs.
Rezin’s eyes fluttered open, gazing up at Shiron and weakly spoke softly. “Shiron?”
Oh thank God! Shiron’s sadness quickly turned into over whelming joy, he smiled at Rezin fondly.

Then he noticed something white hanging out at the bottom of Rezin’s long sleeve shirt.
He picked it up. A bandage?  
“Rezin what’s this?” Shiron asked, holding it up for him to see.
“Are you hurt?” When Rezin saw the bandage in Shiron’s hand, a look of horror spread across his face.                   
“Why didn’t you tell me you were injured!?” Shiron scolded as he tried to lift up Rezin’s shirt to see just how injured he was.
“No! Wait! Don’t!” Rezin shouted, struggling to keep his shirt down. But was no use, Shiron was much stronger than he was. “I’m not going to hurt you, so hold still.” Shiron chided.

When he finally lifted Rezin shirt up, what he saw shocked him. The bandage was wrapped around Rezin’s chest that was meant to appear flat, but now became loose  from the water and struggle; revealing Rezin’s true nature, unmistakably beneath the bandage was the outline of a female.
Rezin’s a “Girl”!?  

He was actually “she”. Trembling with the look of despair and horror on her face as she lying in Shiron’s claws. No… You weren’t supposed to know... She cried silently.
She then threw her arms out smacking his hands off her, falling from his grasp; she landed on the sand and quickly took off. You weren’t supposed to find out!

Shiron sat there, unsure if he should go after her or just leave her be. Still a little stunned, he sat there with the same thought kept repeating in his head. Rezin’s a girl?
