Legendz: Tale of the Wind maiden.
Ch.17
After taking a bath, getting dressed; both Rina & Shiron came out and joined the others who were gathered in the living room. Thankfully outside it had stopped raining.

Lisa was asking if anyone would like to go grocery shopping with her to get supplies for cooking dinner. When no one volunteered she decided to pick Rina. “Rina! Would you come with me?” She said pleasantly.

“What? But- “Rina protested but was pulled off to the side by Lisa.
“Don’t you want to prepare a good meal for Shiron to enjoy?” Lisa whispered to Rina.

Rina blushed, and then glanced back at Shiron who was chatting with the other legendz. Now that Lisa mentioned it, Rina really did want to make something he would enjoy. “Ok.” She replied.

Lisa squealed with glee. “Yes! Okay then, let’s get going!” Grabbing her purse and heading out the door.  

Rina was right behind her but when she reached the door she stopped. Turning around to see Shiron intending to go as well. “… Shiron, you can’t come with me. You have to stay here.” She stated.

Shiron frowned. “Why?”
Rina sighed. “You’re too big & people would freak out if the saw you.” She explained.

Shiron’s ears drooped down on either side of  his head, then turned & walked slowly to the couch laying down upon it with a gloomily expression on his face. Pouting because he could not go with her.

Seeing his reaction, Rina went over to her sulking dragon. “I’ll only be gone for awhile. Ok?” She assured him. “Be good.” Then gave him a kiss on the cheek to cheer him up.

Everyone stared dumbstruck. When Rina gave Shiron a kiss, Nick felt like someone had tore out his heart & crushed it. Standing there on the side lines with his mouth hanging open feeling the sting of rejection.

“I’ll be back soon. Bye.” She called out to Shiron before closing the door behind her.

Shiron still lying on the couch blushed. He could still feel the touch of her soft lips on his cheek when she kissed him.  Wow. She kissed me! Shiron was in a daze by the kiss Rina gave him. Now he couldn’t seem to think of anything or anyone else but her. He didn’t even realize it but he was falling head over heels for his saga.

On the sidelines, Nick was sulking with Gurido, Wolfie, & Leon trying to cheer him up, knowing the boy had a crush on Rina; they were stumped on how to help him with his problem.

When Rina & Lisa came back, they banned everyone else from the kitchen till dinner was ready.  Rina was planning to prepare a dish that her grandmother taught her a long time ago. She hoped that the others would like it, especially Shiron.

With Lisa’s help, dinner was ready in no time. They set the table and called everyone in to eat.

“So what are we having tonight?” Nick asked when Lisa & Rina came out of the kitchen with a large pot.

“Okay, tonight’s main course for this evening is-“Lisa announced as she took off the lid of the pot. “Chicken & vegetable Stir-fry!”

It looked & smelled delicious. Lisa & Rina started severing out to everyone. When Rina got to Shiron, she nervously handed him his plate and waited for his reaction to her cooking.

Shiron took a bite of the stir-fry, his ears perked up. It was delicious! The best thing he had ever tasted! He quickly gobbles up the rest on his plate then held it out to Rina. “Can I have more?” he asked eagerly.

Rina laughed. “Sure.” And filled his plate up again. “Here you go.” She said, pleased Shiron was enjoying it.

Nick couldn’t help but he was becoming jealous of the attention Shiron was getting from Rina. So he too scarf down his food. “I want more too!” He said holding up his empty plate.

Shiron & Nick glared at one another.

So that’s how he wants to play it. Shiron growled to himself. If Nick wanted to challenge him; he wasn’t going to back down.

The others watched as Nick & Shiron seem to have started an eating competition against one another.

“I’m glad we got 5 pounds of ingredients for the fry or we would have run out by now.” Lisa stated.

“Uh, yeah.”Rina replied wondering what was going on between Nick & Shiron.

And of course the winner was Shiron. Nick ate so much he had a stomach ache and quickly ran to the restroom to hurl.

“… O-k. Well, I’m going to start cleaning the dishes.” Lisa said as she gathered the dirty dishes.

Ignoring Nick, Rina turned to Shiron. “So, you liked it? It wasn’t too salty or-“She started to ask Shiron when he cut her off by giving her a kiss on the cheek without really thinking about it. “I loved it. I think you’d make a good cook.” He purred.

Rina blushed and looking down at her hands shyly. “Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.” She said shyly. He had kissed her. Rina felt her heart beat skyrocket. She had never felt like this before with anyone. Was she falling for Shiron? Was this what love felt like? She wondered.

Then she felt Shiron wrap his arms around her and hug her close to him as he nuzzled her gently, purring softly.

Maybe it is. She mused to herself.
